The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art
St Petersburg FL, USA
Architect: Wannemacher Jensen Architects, Harvard Jolly Architecture & Yann Weymouth
Year Completed: 2020
Photography: George Sexton Associates
George Sexton Associates provided lighting design services for the newly built museum. The space houses over 26,000 square feet of gallery spaces displaying the contemporary southwestern works of artists from the 20th and 21st century.
In addition to lighting the gallery, retail, café, and educational spaces, GSA designed a scheme for the lobby entrance. The lighting in the lobby, also known as “the Arroyo,” highlights the striated sandstone walls and an 18-foot waterfall.
